Jumping saddle

A jumping saddle has shorter, forward-cut flaps and a flatter seat for a short stirrup.

What is it for?

It lets the rider follow the horse over fences in a light seat with a bent knee.

The forward-cut flaps and knee rolls support the leg at a shorter stirrup. The flatter seat lets the rider shift position quickly over a fence.
